In this forum do we ask questions we really don't know the answers to or just to spout our beliefs?

I mostly just answer sweety...but once in a white I will ask a question to hopefully make people think a bit. I look for questions that seem sincere...but alas, I think that most of the questions in this particular area...as well as government and politics...are just people wanting to make a statement or take a stand on something.
