What's a sopre jinx in hip hop? did Nas or Lupe have this problem?

A rapper's debut is often really good because it consists of his best material he's been saving to start his career. So the second album often isn't as good as the debut. Lupe didn't have this problem, The Cool was better than Food and Liquor.
