Whatss goingg on???help me. please (long sorry)?

so this guy likes me but likes this other girl who hates him. i really like a lot. he told me that when everything goes wrong that he knows how much hes likes me. but he doesnt know if he wants to go out with me. he knows i like him and we go awhile back. all my friends hate thiss guy and want me to tell he leave me alone but i dont want him to go. he gave the other girl flowers but she threw them away and he was upset and i was there for him. idk what to think or do. now today he said he didnt know if he wants a relationship cuz he like sthe other girl more. it made me cry cuz the other night he said he liked me alot and he didnt want to be eith her. help me my whole heart is breaking
