well pregnancy is counted from the date of your last period so its usually about 4 weeks between periods meaning you would be about 4 weeks at the earliest you find out. others dont test positive right away either. hormone levels needs to be high enough to be detected by a test. there are plenty of reasons to miss a period or be late so being off by 4-5 days doesnt really mean anything. also implantation bleeding can take place which can seem like a light period so women who usually get a light period can easliy mistake it for that and not find out until their next period would be due.
